Our Story
iCare Circles is a group of friends who want to create a safe, affirming space where they can come together and share their lives and interests. Today loneliness is rampant and it is brutal! One can feel lonely, whether alone or in the midst of a crowd.
Multitudes long for intentional, meaningful connections that make a difference. Believing our LORD GOD desires for us to link our hearts with others, we "gather" online or via innovative venues in a circle of care and sistership-fellowship. Each iCare Circle is intended to facilitate connections that allow the life-giving love of God to flow from one to another.
Our Purpose
- To establish an intimate connection with each other
- To provide encouragement, prayer, and sistership-fellowship
- To focus on each other's needs; express compassionate support
- To embrace and release the Presence of God in our midst
- To facilitate expanding the reach of iCare Circles

iCare Circles - Where Friends Connect
Our Platform
Enjoy unstructured time spent together with NO formal agenda! Connect on a casual, personal "heart-to-heart" level with previously valued relationships, plus discover and cultivate new friends.
An iCare Circle is NOT a substitute or replacement for LOCAL CHURCH SERVICES, Bible Study / Prayer Group Meetings, Home Fellowship Group relationships or Community-based Christian organization gatherings.
Our pioneering Circle "gathers" regularly online via a "paid" Zoom account. (A Free Zoom.us account is available, but is limited to 40 minutes. However, if one user within the Circle has a paid account and she hosts the Zoom session(s), there are no time restraints for the Circle.) Other viable resources could be 3-way conference calls (if phone carrier accommodates the service), or if more than 3 attendees, use FreeConferenceCallHD.com.
Letters or cards can be a unique point of connection sent either by old-fashioned "snail mail" or email, and of course - if local - meet "in-person"! There is no limit to the creative ways an iCare Circle can connect.
Our Pattern
We chose to initially invite 8 participants in our iCare Circle. We felt that perhaps including more than 10 attendees at any point in time might inhibit full freedom of expression and restrict intimacy. Our Circle jointly determined the frequency for our gathering, which is flexible and can be adjusted as needed or desired. iCare Circles can vary - daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or special event, as you so choose.
Though our Circle encompasses 8 ladies, the number of attendees may fluctuate on occasion due to an unexpected schedule conflict or extenuating circumstances. Quantity is not as important as quality of caring! As long as 2 or 3 participants are connecting and benefitting from their time together, then the iCare Circle gathering has fulfilled it purpose.
We do not have a pre-planned structure for our Zoom gatherings such as a specific allotted time or order for prayer requests, scripture, song, lesson, etc. Yet we may experience any of those expressions during our free-flow time together...friends being friends.
We do not have a leader, per se, instructing "who, what and when", though we do have a host or facilitator to handle administrative and organizational tasks. Each participant is valued equally and is encouraged to share as she wishes.
